Aye, how you all doin' ? I'm Abraham Maslow, but you all, you all can me Maslow. It's a great pleasure to meet all of you(s). It's nice to be around some people of my caliber, you know, people who have reached the top of my pyramid haha. But, I guess you(s) all want to know about me, huh?
Well, like I said I'm Abraham Maslow. I was born in New York, Brooklyn to be exact. I was born to two immigrant parents, who later had six more children. With my parents popping out all my brothers and sisters, I was left alone a lot. For as long as I can remember, I was always in the library with my books.
I guess that was the best way to be because I was a scholar. I went on to study law at the City College of New York, which we can see didn't work out because I'm a theorist. But uh, after a short time at this college I moved on the University of Wisconsin where I earned all my degrees in Psychology.
After receiving my PhD from UW, I went back to Brooklyn to teach. In Brooklyn is where I became the founder of Human Psychology. I'm best known for my theories "Hierarchy of Needs and Self-Actualization."
Well, that's enough about me. Ask me more later haha.
Connections To Textbooks:
Chapter One:Teacher Efficacy - I believe all teachers should have a sense of Teacher Efficacy. The definition is located on pg. 5 of the student's textbooks provided. Teacher efficacy will give the students a sense of safety in the classroom which will make students more conducive to learning.Chapter Two:Development takes place gradually. I believe if all teachers take this into account they will realize that it take others more time to do certain things. This goes with making sure teachers make students comfortable enough to learn.
